Darkroom
A minimal photographer site.
Darkroom is a portfolio and commissions site for an architecture and landscape photographer, in the Minimalism style: warm paper white, ink, stone grey, hairline rules and one darkroom red kept for tiny marks (the availability dot, the grease-pencil picks, the chosen print size). One light grotesk (Inter Tight 300) at large sizes, a 12px mono (JetBrains Mono) for every caption and frame number, no shadows, no radius. The photographs do all the colour work. The sample photographer, Wren Achterberg, and every name, price and date are invented sample content.

The 3D moment
A framed print on the wall grows out of its mat as you scroll until the photograph fills the screen; then a pinned filmstrip of five series runs sideways, and a black contact sheet slides like negatives on a light box while grease-pencil rings draw around the picks.
What you get
Straight from the template's README, the same file you will find in the repository.
- Home (
index.html): a three-line statement beside one photograph shown as a framed print with a wide mat and a plate caption; five series on a sideways filmstrip with a counter; a black contact sheet of twelve frames from one morning with two picks circled in grease pencil and a loupe; commissions as four ruled steps beside a sticky room photograph, with sample rates; edition prints on a wall above a bench for scale, with print and size switches, edition count, sold-out state and price; a large email address and an enquiry form. - Series (
series.html?s=<slug>): one page per series, built fromcontent.js: title, intro, place, years, format, every frame in an editorial grid with captions, a reading progress line, the frame counter and previous/next series. An unknown slug shows a designed "not on the wall" state. - 404 (
404.html): "This frame was never exposed", with a blank print that tries to develop. - Form states: required fields, invalid email, sending, sent (sample: nothing is sent), and "write another".
- Light and Darkroom (dark) themes: follows the system, with a toggle that remembers the choice. Phone to desktop.
