The licence, in plain English

Buy a template once and build as many sites with it as you like, for yourself and for your clients. The one thing you cannot do is sell or share the template itself.

You can

  • Build as many websites and web apps with it as you like, for yourself or for clients.
  • Change anything: code, design, copy, colours and layout.
  • Charge clients for the work and hand them the finished site with its source code.
  • Publish the finished sites anywhere, including for commercial purposes.
  • Let your employees and contractors work with it on your projects.

You cannot

  • Sell, give away or publish the template itself, changed or not, as a template, theme, starter, kit or design file.
  • Use it in a product whose main purpose is letting others build sites, like a site builder or theme marketplace.
  • Put the template in a public repository where others can copy it.
  • Remove the notices for the open-source parts it includes.

Common cases

Fine

You build a restaurant's site from a template for a client, charge for it and hand over the code. The client keeps running and changing that site.

You use a template for your own startup and, a year later, for a second one. One purchase covers both.

Your finished portfolio, built from a template, lives in a public repository as your own site.

Not fine

Uploading a template, changed or not, to a theme marketplace or a public "free templates" repository.

Turning a template into a site builder where other people make their own sites.

Sharing the private repository's files with someone who has not bought the template.

The full text

The same text ships as the LICENSE file in every template's repository.

This licence text is a draft under review. Until templates go on sale it may still change; the version in force is the one in the repository you receive.

Version 0.1 (draft), October 2026. This text is used as the LICENSE file of each paid template sold at templates.cardzo.co.in.

In short

You bought a template. You can build as many websites with it as you like, for yourself and for your clients, and charge for that work. You cannot sell or give away the template itself, or make it part of another template, theme or kit.

1. Who this is for

"Cardzo", "we" and "us" means the seller of the template. "You" means the person or company named on the purchase. "The template" means the files you downloaded after buying, except the third-party parts listed in section 5.

2. What you can do

  • Use the template to make websites and web apps, for yourself or for clients, as many as you like, with no further fee.
  • Change anything in it: code, design, copy, colours, layout.
  • Charge your clients for the work, and hand them the finished site, including its source code.
  • Publish the finished sites anywhere, including for commercial purposes.
  • Let your employees and contractors work with the template on your projects.

3. What you cannot do

  • Sell, give away, share or publish the template itself, changed or unchanged, as a template, starter, theme, boilerplate, UI kit, component library or design file, free or paid, on any marketplace or repository.
  • Use the template or any substantial part of it in a product whose main purpose is to let others build their own sites or designs, such as a site builder, a template generator or a theme marketplace.
  • Put the template in a public repository where others can copy it. A public repository for a finished site is fine when the site is clearly its own project and not offered as a template.
  • Remove the third-party notices.

A finished site you build for a client may be handed over with its source code. The client may keep changing and running that site. The client gets the same rights and limits as you for that one site, and may not resell it as a template.

4. Ownership

Cardzo keeps the copyright in the template. This licence gives you the rights above; it does not transfer ownership. Your own content, and the changes you make, are yours.

5. Third-party parts

The template includes open-source code and fonts, such as three.js (MIT licence) and fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each is listed in the template's NOTICE.md with its own licence. Those parts are covered by their own licences, not by this one, and nothing here limits what their licences allow.

6. Sample content

Text, figures, names and pictures in the template that are marked as sample are placeholders. Replace them before you publish. They are not facts about any real business.

7. No warranty

The template is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Cardzo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use, as far as the law allows. You are responsible for checking that the sites you build meet the laws that apply to them, including accessibility and privacy.

8. Ending the licence

If you break section 3, this licence ends for the copies involved, and you must stop distributing them. Sites you built correctly before then are not affected.

9. Refunds

Refunds are handled under the store's refund policy, shown at checkout. They are not part of this licence.
